Newborn Session at 1 Month New

Ayden came to me at the last minute, already a month old. At this age, it challenges the norms of a traditional posed studio newborn session. Babies need to be very sleepy and retain that newborn curl and flexibility they have from being in the womb. My preferred booking window is between 5-21 days old, but sometimes I receive requests from parents eager to photograph their older babies. I never shy away from a challenge, so I always welcome them into the studio! I understand the significance of these portraits. The newborn stage in your child's life is a fleeting moment in the grand scheme. This time is something you can never reclaim. Your baby will never be this small again, never have that newborn scent, never regain that newborn curl, or be this sleepy and cuddly. They change so rapidly; just a blink of your tired, sleep-deprived eye, and it's gone. So, I will always make room for you in the studio and strive to capture those precious portraits, regardless of the baby's age.
