Not every cake smash session needs to take place in a studio. In fact, an outdoor smash has its own appeal. Children often feel more at ease outside in a fun environment compared to a studio with large lights and unfamiliar settings. It's not that all kids dislike the studio; it's just a different experience. Sometimes, I have to put in extra effort to capture those happy, playful moments.

This family opted for a simple outdoor smash session for their firstborn, so naturally, we did the same for their baby girl. They enjoy including family in the session, which works wonderfully for the birthday child. What 1-year-old doesn't love having fun pictures taken with their family!
